Our Beliefs

GOD

There is one and only one true, living God. God has eternally existed in three persons – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and one God.

FATHER

God the Father is God. He is the Creator of all things and Preserver and Ruler of the universe. He is all-loving, all-just, all-wise and all-powerful.

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ is God. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate his power over sin and death.

HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is God. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He lives in all Christ-followers from the moment of salvation, providing them with power for living and guidance in doing what is right.

HUMANITY

Men and women were created by God in His image and are the finest of all creation. They were created innocent, but with a free choice, they sinned against God and fell from their original state.

SALVATION

Salvation is the gift of God for all humanity and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. No one can ever make up for their sin by self-improvement or good works – only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness.

GRACE

Grace is the unmerited favor of God and shows us His goodness. All who have accepted Christ and are set apart will never fall from grace but will endure to the end.

BAPTISM

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change that has occurred in the life of the believer. It is identification with Christ by picturing his death, burial and resurrection. We believe the best next step after committing your life to Christ is baptism.

THE BIBLE

The Bible is the historical record of God’s activity. It was written by mankind but inspired by God’s Spirit. It contains no error. It reveals the plan, purposes and will of God for all time.

THE CHURCH

The church is a group of believers brought together by the Spirit of God to carry out the Great Commandment by practicing the Great Commission.

LORD’S SUPPER / COMMUNION

The Lord’s Supper is a moment where we remember Jesus’ sacrifice. The bread and cup are symbols of His broken body and shed blood which were given for our salvation.
