Our Vision

What to Expect

Church @ The Springs began with 21 people who had a God-given vision of meeting people right where they are with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our phrase, Casual Environment, Serious Faith, describes the experience of being at The Springs – whether gathering at our Café or browsing in HomeFront, our family resource center in the Lobby.

We exist to be relevant as we lead our generation to God and connect people to a growing community of Christ-followers who go and serve others. Because people matter to God, we have created environments especially for you and your family whether it be through our main weekend services, Springsville, our children’s ministry or Source, our student ministry.

We will always present the message of Jesus Christ in a way that speaks to today’s culture and will give you a way to live out those truths everyday of the week. No matter what campus you attend, we think you’ll find The Springs refreshing and a place where you will be reminded that you matter to God.

– People matter to God

– Real Christ-followers grow

– Growing larger and smaller at the same time

– Focusing on the things that unite us, not the things that divide us

– God is honored in excellence

– The Message will never change but the methods must

– Teaching is for life-change

– Every member is a minister

Our Beliefs

There is one and only one living, true and triune God.

God the Father is God. He is the Creator of all things and Preserver and Ruler of the universe. He is all-loving, all-just, all-wise and all-powerful. Gen. 1:1

Jesus Christ is God. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate his power over sin and death. 1 Cor. 15: 3-4; Phil. 2:5-11

The Holy Spirit is God. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He lives in all Christ-followers from the moment of salvation, providing them with power for living and guidance in doing what is right. John 16:7-13; Gal. 5:22-25; John 4:24

The Bible is the historical record of God’s activity written by mankind but inspired by God’s Spirit. It contains no error. It reveals the plan, purposes and will of God for all time. Psalm 119:105; 2 Tim. 3:16

The church is a group of believers brought together by the Spirit of God to carry out the Great Commandment by practicing the Great Commission. Matt. 22:37-40; Eph. 5:23-27

Salvation is the gift of God for all humanity and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. It was obtained by the substitutional death of Christ on the cross. Rom. 5:8-9; Rom. 6:23

Grace is the unmerited favor of God and shows us His goodness. All who have accepted Christ and are set apart will never fall from grace but will endure to the end. Eph. 2, 8-9; Eph. 4:30

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change that has occurred in the life of the believer. It is identification with Christ by picturing his death, burial and resurrection. Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:4

The Lord’s Supper is a memorial service where we remember Jesus’ sacrifice. The bread and cup are symbols of His broken body and shed blood which were given for our salvation. Luke 22:19-20

Men and women were created by a special work of God in His image and are the finest of all creation. They were created innocent, but with a free choice they sinned against God and fell from their original state. Gen. 1:27; Rom. 3:23

Church @ The Springs began in the basement of an office building after God called Ron Sylvia and his family to start a church that would present Jesus Christ in a new and relevant way for people who didn’t go to church or had given up on church.

After over fifteen locations and growing to thousands of people and multiple campuses, we never tire of seeing people accept Jesus and taking next steps of obedience in order to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives. We are more excited than ever as we reach out to people in our communities and communicate that God is passionately in love with them.
